2025 Nissan Armada: Powerful 3-Row SUV Debuts Without a V8
In 2003, Nissan introduced the Armada to their range of vehicles. This body-on-frame SUV quickly became an essential part of Nissan's offerings in the U.S., showcasing the brand's capabilities for off-roading.
Although the Armada was equipped with a V8 engine for two generations, the third-generation model made its debut last year featuring four cylinders along with twin turbos instead.
The third-generation SUV maintains its body-on-frame design but now features a 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 engine beneath the hood. Despite having fewer cylinders, this V6 delivers an impressive output of 425 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque.
That’s an increase of 25 horsepower and 103 pound-feet of torque compared to the previous V8 model. This engine channels its power via a nine-speed automatic transmission either to the rear wheels or through a four-wheel-drive system.
